Hub City Squares
Valentine Dance
Due to the illness of my mother, I couldn’t be at our February dance. I
am thankful Rex could at-tend and bring back a report. Barbara Preston and
Mike Perkins help me also when I can’t be there.
Hub City Squares celebrated the graduation of students with Caller/Teacher
Bill Barrick calling. Thank you, Bill & Sheila, for all you do for us.
It was a successful season. Our students have been a lot of fun, and we
are so glad to have them dancing with us.
Students graduating: Terry and Cindy Whitaker, Glenn and Roselind McCulley,
& Phillip and Melva Snide
Club members read the meanings of the letters in S Q U A R E and then
students repeated the Square Dance Pledge
We appreciate Carl Dean and Barbara Preston and Don and Mildred Deimund
for hosting the dance. They used a Valentine & Graduation theme for
decorating. There is a lot of work that goes into the hosting of these
dances, and we count on each couple taking their turn. Thank You!
The door prizes were won by Art Fanshier, Steve & Mary Ralston, Terry
& Cindy Whitaker, Loyd & Edna Robertson and Mike & Myrna
Perkins.
Members from Hydro Hi-Steppers, Western Swing, Altus Twirlers, and
Antelope Hills came to join Hub City Squares for a fun-filled evening of
dancing. Other guests came to watch and enjoy the entertainment.
As I am writing this, I am reminded of Kelvin Casebeer having surgery this
morning. His attitude is very positive, and we know he will do well. We
have many square dance friends who are having health issues, and we want
to remember all of them in prayer.
Remember March 6th is the Southwest District Spring Round-up in Binger.
Our next dance will be March 13th with Freddie McKee calling. Ken and
Neola Stephens and Rex and Claudia Eagan will be hosting. Come join us for
a lot of fun.
