Levis 'n Lace is on summer break. We held our last dance
with Rod & Lois calling in May and will not dance again until
September. We hope that we will be able to remember how to square dance
after a three month sabbatical! Rod, please be patient with us!
We gained seven new members as a result of lessons that Rod &
Lois taught. They are truly a great addition to our club! We hope that you
will soon be able to meet; Don, Darla, Joyce, Lawrence, Connie, Katie and
Sigrid.
This is a list of some of the things that Levis 'n Lace is looking
forward to: A picnic in August; two dances in September with Rod &
Lois and Jim Howard calling; October 3rd is Dale and Jackie's 4th Annual
Barn Dance with Rod & Lois calling; Sonya Savell Jones will be calling
for us October 22nd, if you haven't danced with her, please come join us -
she is great; November 20th we will host the NW District Fall Festival;
December 10th will be the President's Ball & NW District Officers
Installation and rounding out December will be our Annual Christmas Dinner
the 13th.
Members concerns: Phil Adams had surgery for an aneurysm several
weeks ago; had some set backs and was in rehab for three weeks. He came
home from the hospital Friday, May 28th but is very weak and has trouble
eating. Home health is coming in to help. Jane says he is glad to be home
and is doing great now but it will take him a while to get his strength
back; Margaret Goll will be having another hip surgery later this summer;
Jackie Niehus will have cataract surgery sometime this summer and is
facing another hip surgery; one of our new members, Don Bretz's mother
passed away May 18th in New Jersey. Please remember these members in your
thoughts and prayers.
