We hope that you are enjoying the cooler temperatures! For those of you who are lucky enough to be getting rain we envy you and are certainly glad that you are receiving the much needed moisture. For us in the north central part of the state we keep hoping that we will receive some soon . . . the corn and milo are really suffering; maybe we will receive rain tomorrow!

We hope that you are out selling tickets for the “1966 Ford Mustang.” The car was in a parade at Woodward. The Wranglers had a float with a square dancing on it; an early morning shower wet everyone down but did not dampen their spirits! They then took the car to Mazzios to sell tickets and sold every ticket they had with them!!! Great going!!! If your club needs more tickets please let me know. Dale and I are handling the ticket sales for T.J. and Nancy this year.

Nancy has recovered nicely from her heart procedure and has been given the go to have a total hip surgery on August 3rd. She will be at the McBride Orthopedic Hospital which is located at Britton Road & Broadway Extension in Oklahoma City. We know that she is anxious to have the surgery done and we wish her well and hope that she will be back dancing soon! Others in the District who have had health issues this summer are: Levis ‘n Lace – Joan Bliss, back surgery; Marvin Goll was injured in an automobile accident and is recovering slowly; Sue McBride, had foot surgery and is on the road to recovery; Allan McBride has a blockage in a minor artery but no surgery is required at this time. Please keep all of these members and any others that you know of who have had health issues in your thoughts and prayers.
