The big news this past month was the Spring Roundup held on March 14th at the Pioneer Room in Woodward. The theme for the event was "Rainbow's End" and since our club was responsible for decorations, we spent the afternoon blowing up ballons and making

everything festive for the occasion. I hope I don't miss anyone that helped decorate, but among those helping were Kay Boughan, Lewis and Rama Deeds, Rod and Lois Ford, Sally Williamson, Larry Girton, Jack and Peggy Norman, Carmen Veal, Richard and Linda Oblander and Wayne and Kathryn Paul. A rainbow arch was constructed out of PVC and LOTS of Ballons, anchored by a garden seat and big pots of bougainvilla and pictures were made of those present for their "memories". The Woodward club furnished the food, and did a great job of filling us all up! The dance was called by a bright red caller from OKC, Bob Rollins. The evening started with a huge grand march and I was told that there were over 100 people there. I know I counted eight squares at one point. Most of the state officers were there. It was a relly great evening for square dancing and visiting with old and new friends. Entertainment for the evening was provided by Bob Rogers of Canadian/Durham and his pet rooster. Yep, if you weren't there you missed a great performance by a real live rooster trained by Bob himself. Thanks again, Bob, for a really great chicken show. Another highlight of the evening was the chivaree for Troy and Anna Nelson who were married earlier that afternooon and absolutely would not miss the Spring Roundup. Congratulations and Best Wishes to a great square dancing couple!!
