Southwest District News 2012

Southwest District doesn’t have very much to report this month.

Western Swing will be having their graduation dance February 4, we will have 3 new members to graduate. We want to welcome all new dancers, and are looking forward to dancing with you.

The District Roundup will be on March 10, in Clinton at the Middle School.

The officer visitation dances for this year are:
April 13, Antelope Hills Durham
May 5. Western Swing, Elk City
June 29, Hydro Hi-Steppers, Hydro
July 20 Vernon Travelers, (Christmas In July)
September 8, Hub City Squares, Clinton
October 27, Altus Twirlers, Altus
The Visit-Nine dances for 20l2 are:
April 28, Spring Roundup host-Hydro Hi-Steppers with Mike Bramlett calling
July l3-l4, Route 66 Jamboree, at Elk City Civic Center
October 20, Fall Festival, host-Hub City Squares with Toby Tomason Calling

We had a great meeting with the State Officers in Oklahoma City on January 8. It was good to visit with all the new State Officers and hear what they have in store for us this year.

We all need to keep our Square Dance family who are having problems in our prayers. Ken and Neola Stephens, it was good to see Neola at our dance, but we missed seeing Ken there. Kaye Casebeer, We all pray you have a fast and full recovery. Arnold Goucher, our prayers are with you in this very difficult time.

On a personal note. We have a SKUNK under our rent house and NOTHING seems to be working, Mothballs, exterminators, fumigators & traps. If anyone has a remedy please call us. We will try anything. The City and Insurance company did not recommend a fire.
