Vernon Travelers 1st Saturday, 8:00 PM Wilbarger County Auditorium 2100 Yamparika Street, Vernon, Texas President –Gene & Barbara Morton 940-553-4415 No Dance in March                     Vernon Travelers danced on February 2 with Jimmy Gouge calling. It is always fun to have Jimmy and Jo at our dances. It was our Valentine dance and everything was beautifully decorated and the food table was filled with all kinds of Valentine goodies. We had dancers from Altus, Clinton, Antelope Hills, Route 66, Wichita Falls clubs Swing Stars, Solos and Levi and Lace. We were delighted to have three squares this time, as we’ve only had a square the last few times. Betty Jones won the split the pot. Jeanette & Peyton Ramey, Ina Roark, Ron & Barb Smith and John & Debby Tunning won the door prizes. We had a new member register, Bob Rogers. He has recently moved to Crowell, and Arlos Moore was visiting again. Welcome Bob and Arlos! Vernon Travelers will not be dancing in March due to the District Roundup in Weatherford, OK. Also, the Travelers will not dance in April. Our next dance will be May 4 with Jim Howard calling. Margueritte Gray
