WESTERN SWING
Don't you just love this weather? It caused us to have to cancel our
inaugural ball on January 30. The graduation dance on 2-6-10 went well, we
had 5 to graduate. They are Bo Wray, Ann Passmore, Elsie Green, Don
Birdwell and David Castleberry. We are so proud to have them in our club
and several of them are traveling. Way to go guys and gals. Nicky Boone
called a great dance. The hostess for the evening was William Yow. Myrna
Perkins and Arnold and Pat Goucher won the door prizes. Birthdays for the
month of February is Ivan Minor. We had guests from Altus, Antelope Hills,
Hub City, Hydro and Circle 8. Thank you for coming and sharing a wonderful
evening.
There will be no dance in March due to the District Round-up in Binger,
hope to see everyone there. Western Swing is in charge of the work shop at
2:30.
I would like to invite everyone to come to our next dance which will be
held on April 3rd with Nicky Boone calling. This dance will be our officer
visitation dance. I would also like to challenge all the clubs to pick up
their new dancers and start traveling more this year. It is way too much
fun and we are not getting any younger.
ATTENTION!!! Western Swing members we are going to have a short business
meeting on April 1, at 6:00 and clean up of the hut afterwards. And
remember to sign up for hosting duties for this year. We really appreciate
everyone for their help.
